I am Simone Kaptur, a psychotherapist, counsellor & clinical supervisor located in Worthing, West Sussex with many years experience of working with both individuals and couples.

I hold a MSc in psychotherapy, a BA(Hons) and a Clinical Diploma all from the Metanoia Institute of Counselling & Psychotherapy in London (validated by Middlesex University). UKCP registered, an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA). I also have a Certificate in Relational supervision from Relational Change.
I have been a panel member for oral examinations of diploma level candidates in Transactional Analysis counselling at the Metanoia Institute, London and have experience working as a child counsellor in inner London educational settings.

Prior to my practise as a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor I was a member of the Psychology Team in HIV Medicine at The Royal Free Hospital in London for 13 years working with a diverse range of people, cultures and family systems amongst family therapists, chartered psychologists, social workers and physicians.
Additional Interest in Transgenerational and Historical Trauma
In addition to working with a broad range of counselling issues I have an added interest in historical and transgenerational trauma.
Transgenerational, intergenerational and historical trauma is often hidden; invisible, shrouded in silence, shame and denial within family, community and society influencing and shaping generations.
